Designed  by Ian Knight to be the ultimate compact / Bookshelf loudspeaker, paying homage in size and style to the classic BBC LS3/5a  monitor. 

This speaker carries the Leicester HiFi tradition of producing high-end compact loudspeakers that punch above their weight. The original IK1 circa 1998 onwards was a huge success for us and there are still many in use today.

Engineered to perform well even in the tightest of spaces. Broad deep soundstaging and pinpoint stereo imagery come as standard. Utilising capacitive assisted Acoustic Suspension bass loading it can produce the lowest registers of a piano and double bass with absolute pitch accuracy and natural weight even when used close to boundary surfaces and walls.

High power handling drivers allow the full dynamic swings of large orchestral music or the most intimate tones of a string quartet.  LH1 is a slave to the music, nothing more, nothing less.
